Heartgard Plus is a beef-flavored chewable to prevent heartworm infection in dogs. It also treats and controls preexisting hookworm and roundworm infections. Heartworms, spread by mosquitoes, can result into fatal diseases when prevented with heartworm preventives. Hence, to protect your pet from deadly diseases, Heartgard is a full proof solution. Heartgard Plus chewables treat medium sized dogs weighing between 26-50 lbs. These palatable tablets available in 6-dose and 12-dose packs and are given once a month.
Heartgard Plus tablet contains two potent ingredients - Ivermectin and Pyrantel. The active ingredient Ivermectin eliminates the immature form of heartworms and the other ingredient pyrantel removes hookworms and roundworms. The oral treatment when given monthly protects your dog against dangerous heartworm disease.
It effectively prevents heartworm disease and can be administered monthly starting from 6 weeks old puppies.
